WELCOME!

The TREE Lab at the University of Michigan focuses on understanding transport and reaction phenomena to engineer advanced energy and water technologies. Our objective is to apply this knowledge to design stable, scalable and efficient devices for applications of solar energy conversion and storage, and water treatment.

Our group performs multidisciplinary research in the areas of thermal and fluid sciences, multiscale computation, electrochemical engineering, and semiconductor physics. Specifically, we apply the approach of developing computational models integrated with experimental analyses to probe the  interplay of heat and mass transfer, fluid flow and chemical reactions that play a central role in a host of thermal, thermochemical, and electrochemical energy systems.
